Transition Units
The Transition Unit program provides short-term independent living. Clients must work closely with their assigned life coach to actively seek and accept suitable, affordable, and long-term housing options.
All clients must complete an application and attach a copy of their tribal identification. Applications will be received on a first-come, first-served basis and include a time/date stamp.
The life coach will contact all clients who are selected. Before moving in, each client must meet their life coach and complete the following criteria.
- Background check
- Urinalysis testing
- Rental agreement
- Damages agreement
Please see the Transition Unit Procedures for more information and the Transition Unit application to apply to the program. Applications can be emailed to transitionunits@tulaliptribes-nsn.gov.
Resource Advocacy FAQS
Our Resource Advocacy Program helps clients identify and overcome barriers that prevent them from securing or maintaining permanent housing. In addition to housing assistance, we support various other needs, including food, clothing, education, and mental health or substance abuse counseling. We help connect you with resources within the Tulalip Tribal Community and Snohomish County and work alongside you to navigate these barriers, ensuring stability and compliance. We also offer credit counseling classes to enhance clients' understanding of credit and help them repair and rebuild their credit scores.
- We are an optional resource for those seeking assistance with finding permanent housing, rental assistance, food, transportation, and transitional programs.
- We help individuals get back into compliance with the Tulalip Tribe Rental and Leasing programs if they have fallen out of compliance.
- While we connect you to the appropriate services, we do not provide those services directly from our office.
- We cannot assist with transportation to and from appointments or other places. Our credit counseling services aim to improve your credit score, ensuring financial planning success and the achievement of your financial goals.
- We are here to help, listen, and advocate for you.
- The Resource Advocacy Program is a confidential and safe space for you to receive assistance.
